Forty-five miles west of Portland, Bridgton Hospital serves 21 towns in the Lakes Region and Western Mountains of Maine as well as the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire. The 21-bed, single-story, hospital was founded in 1917. The new Bridgton Hospital building opened its doors in January 2002. It features all private patient rooms, including medical/surgical, intensive care, and family birthing suites. Our surgical services department provides inpatient and outpatient surgery. We have a full service laboratory for inpatients and outpatients, and our radiology department offers a broad array of diagnostics including mammography, ultrasound, CAT scan, and MRI. The outpatient clinic, located in its own wing of the hospital, offers a wide array of healthcare professionals including oncology/hemotology, podiatry, diabetes education, cardiology, neurology, podiatry, pulmonology, and our new wound center. Our emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
